Project Summary
When this lovely Stamford client first approached Stamford Architectural Design, they had a couple of ideas in mind, exploring both a two-storey extension and a single-storey extension. During our initial feasibility survey, we focused on how the family wanted to use their home and what mattered most to them.
It quickly became clear that their top priority was to create a wow-factor entertaining space, somewhere bright, open, and perfect for hosting family and friends. We discussed their budget early on, giving them time to reflect before moving forward.
A couple of months later, they came back ready to start the design and planning stage. There were a few hurdles to overcome, including working around Anglian Water’s drainage system, but our team handled the process smoothly. Once we secured planning permission, we moved straight into the construction phase.
From Design to Completion
The build progressed quickly, with the structure soon watertight and taking shape beautifully. Our experienced building team ensured every detail was carefully managed, and for this project, we even got involved in fitting the client’s new kitchen and completing all the second-fix finishes to make sure everything was just right.
One of the highlights of the build? The clients were the perfect hosts, even surprising our builders with homemade pizzas during the project, a truly collaborative and enjoyable experience all around!
