Bespoke Oak Orangery – Stamford Architectural Design

Project Summary
This project began five years before the client placed their order, when we first discussed their vision for a painted timber classical orangery. During our initial meetings, we explored size, design, and pricing, giving the client time to consider exactly what they wanted for their home.
Fast-forward five years, and the client returned with a clear vision: an oak orangery. Within a few weeks, we were progressing through planning permissions and turning their dream into reality. This project highlights that not all home extensions follow a conventional start-to-finish process, sometimes taking the time to refine your ideas results in a truly perfect design.
Our Stamford architectural design team managed the full design process, ensuring the final structure perfectly suited the client’s lifestyle. RH Building and Restoration completed the baseworks and second fixes, while our team oversaw the architectural design, ensuring every detail met the highest standards.
Despite a very wet and rainy day when we returned to see the finished project, the orangery photographs beautifully. The oak naturally ages and silvers over time, giving the space a timeless, elegant character that perfectly complements the property.
This orangery demonstrates our expertise in bespoke oak architecture, orangeries, and home extensions. Whether you are looking to create a classic painted timber space or a modern oak addition, our Stamford-based architectural team provides end-to-end design and construction solutions that combine craftsmanship, functionality, and lasting beauty.
